As the golf saying goes: They don't draw pictures on the scorecard. Fortunately for the Trojans I won't be drawing any pictures of this game!
The Trojans defeated O'Bryant HS 64-49 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 3-3 on the season. The game was a whistlefest from the get go with both teams racking up a combined 39 fouls including 3 technicals!!
The Trojans jumped out to an early 1st quarter lead outscoring the Tigers 16-4 indicating that this game had the makings of a blow out! The Tigers fought back in the 2nd to keep it close outscoring the Trojans but still trailed 25-17 at the half. The Trojans proved to be too much for the Tigers in the second half and held on for the ugly win 64-49.
Once again Jaime Carey led the way for the Trojans scoring another 23 points (3rd time this season), Rashad Bell had 9 points, and Joe Freiday finished with 8 points and 10 rebounds.
The Trojans travel to Plymouth North High school on Tuesday to face off against the Eagles at 6:30.
