Red Raiders edge out Trojans

It was an exciting game at a packed gym in Barnstable on Friday night, but the Trojans lost their 4th game in a row on as their OCL rival Barrnstable Red Raiders edged out the W by a score of 65-60.
Despite being out rebounded 35-27 and only shooting 32% from the field, the Trojans were in this game right down to the wire.  The Red Raiders jumped out to an early lead outscoring the Trojans 23-15 in the first quarter, despite 3 pointers from Senior Captain Rashad Bell, Junior Jack Connolly, and Senior Jaime Carey. The Red Raiders retained the 8 point lead at the half, thanks in part to Barnstable's Elijah Baptiste's 11 first half points.  The Trojans re-gropuped at the half, matching the Red Raiders bucket for bucket in the 3rd, and outscored the red Raiders in the 4th quarter, but it wasn't enough.
Sr. Jaime Carey led the way for the Trojans with 16 points, including 7 for 8 from the line, Sr. Captain Joe Freiday had 12 points and Sr. Alex Rose had 11 points.
The Trojans fall to 4-7 on the season (0-2 in the OCL).  The Trojans hope to return to their winning ways as they host Durfee on Tuesday.
