Saved by the Bell(s).. Bell brothers take over and lead Trojans to victory

The Trojans jumped back into the win column, improving to 5-7 on the season, as they defeated a young  Plymouth North team for the 2nd time this season, 70-64 on Friday night. The Trojans, trying to snap a 4 game losing streak, came out of the gates firing and jumped out to an early first quarter lead 17-14, thanks to some nifty passing. The Blue Eagles came soaring back in the 2nd, outscoring the sluggish Trojans 16-11 to take a 2 point halftime lead into the locker room. It was more of the same through 3 quarters as Plymouth North Sophomore Austin Ward scored 12 of his game high 25 points in the frame as the Blue Eagles extended their lead to 4 points at the end of 3.

Ding Ding.... Enter the Bell brothers... Junior Isiah Bell and his older brother, Captain Rashad Bell, took over the game, pouring in a combined 16 points, including a few timely steals and multiple rebounds. When Rashad missed, Isiah was there for the put back, almost like they had been playing together their whole lives!!!! Isiah scored 10 of his 12 points in the 4th quarter including 4 for 4 from the line and 3 steals, and the Trojans held on for the win. Senior Jaime Carey led the scoring for the Trojans with 16 points, Senior Alex Rose and Junior Isiah Bell had 12 points each. The Trojans travel to Beverly HS on Sunday to face off against the Panthers at 3:00
