Terrel Williams carries Trojans into the playoff!
They started sluggish and they started sloppy, with lots of turnovers
and missed shots.
It was Senior night and Coach Fisher was looking for
an answer as the Trojans needed 1 win to make it to the post season.
He found the answer in Junior Terrel Williams!
Terrel Williams poured in 20 points off the bench to almost singlehandedly win the game, scoring almost 1/3 of the teams 62 points, scoring 8 in the final frame including a 3 pointer and a perfect 2 for 2 from the line!
The Trojans trailed most of the game but a Tim Mabry 3 pointer at the halftime buzzer kept it close at 31-27.
"Its a special thing for the players to go through this experience. Its something they're always going to remember, especially qualifying on senior night." Said Coach Fisher.
The Trojans improve to 10-9 and finish the regular season at Silver lake on Thursday night.

Trojans fall to Durfee 75-63
The Trojans fell to Durfee, 75-63, on Monday night despite a monster game by Sr. Alex Rose.
The Trojans matched the Hilltoppers basket for basket through the first half, thanks largely in part to 18 first half points by Alex Rose. The Hilltoppers extended their 1 point halftime lead to 5 after 3 quarters, and opened it up in the final frame thanks to 10 4th quarter points by Durfee's Chris Farrington who was a perfect 8 for 8 from the line.
The Trojans were led by Alex (will you accept this) Rose's double double, as he had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Jaime Carey who had 16 points.
The win clinches a playoff spot for Durfee as they improve to 10-7 on the season, and the loss drops the Trojans back to 9-9, still needing 1 win for that elusive playoff berth.
Wednesday night is "Senior Night" and the Trojans host the Plymouth South Panthers. This will most likely be the last time the Seniors suit up at home, as most likely any playoff game will be on the road.

Trojans 1 win away!
The Trojans, trying to avenge a 65-60 loss from a few weeks back, hosted the 12-3 Barnstable Red Raiders on Friday night needing 2 wins to reach the magical 10 win mark to get into the State Tournament. They now only need one! The Trojans dominated every facet of the game from start to finish as they never trailed in this one. The Red Raiders brought a better record and a bigger fan section to Bridgewater but ran into the Trojans "best" performance of the season, led by seniors Jaime Carey (17 points) Alex Rose (15 points), and Joe Freiday (13 points) including 2 gym rattling dunks.
Freiday's first slam came with 5:54 left in the first half as he took a perfect pass from Jaime Carey, took one dribble and slammed it home while getting pushed in the back as a Red Raider was called for the flagrant foul which awards 2 free throws and posession, which gave the Trojans a 32-16 lead.
The Trojans gleefully took a 39-33 halftime lead into the locker room. The Red Raiders came out firing in the 2nd half cutting the lead to 3. A thunderous put back dunk by Freiday off of a Jack Connolly missed layup ignited the crowd and increased the Trojan lead to 7 and prompted another Barnstable timeout with 4:36 left in the 3rd. The Trojans pulled away in the 4th quarter scoring 21 points, led by Alex Roses 9 points, and limited the Red Raiders to only two 4th quarter field goals, and the Trojans rolled on winning 74-60.
The Trojans improve to 9-8 and visit a tough Durfee team, who will be looking for revenge, on Monday night at 7:00.

Trojans jump back into the win column
The Trojans jumped back into the win column on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Falmouth High Clippers in a game that had the makings of a blowout.
The Trojans came flying out of the gates, scoring 26 first quarter points, to take a 19 point lead over the Clippers at 26-7. Just when it looked like the Trojans would roll on to win by 30, the Clippers said "not so fast" as they held the Trojans to only 8 second quarter points, cutting the lead to 12 thanks in part to two 3 pointers by Falmouth Senior Chase Soares. The Clippers would cut into the lead a little more in the 3rd and cut the lead to 8 in the 4th, but the Trojans proved to be too much and went on to win 55-46.
The Trojans were led by Sr. Captain Joe Freiday 12 pts and 15 rebounds, Jaime Carey 12 pts, and Andy Groh with 9 pts.
The Trojans improve to 8-8 and are only 2 wins away from making the postseason. The Trojans host Old Colony League rival Barnstable Friday night in hopes of avenging their January 17th 5 point loss.

Trojans stumble
The Trojans stumbled on Friday night to the Dartmouth Indians 68-56 breaking the Trojans 3 game win streak.
The Trojans only had 2 players in double figures with Junior Isiah Bell throwing in 11 points, and senior Alex Rose contributing with 10 points. The Indians were led by Nick Simoneti's 26 points.
The Trojans fall to 7-8 on the season and travel to Falmouth on Sunday afternoon to face the Clippers as they need 3 more wins to capture a spot in the MIAA State Tournament.
#ProjectPurple
Both teams wore Project Purple T shirts in support of former NBA star Chris Herren's initiative that assists families to fight drug addiction.
Go Project Purple was launched to break the stigma of addiction, bring awareness to the dangers of substance abuse and shed light on effective treatment practices.
The Go Project Purple concept was developed when Chris spoke at a local high school in 2011 and the front row of students were wearing Purple shirts. After Chris shared his story, one of the purple shirts raised her hand and stood up to speak. As snickering and laughter could be heard throughout the auditorium, the student said “Thank you Mr. Herren for validating what we do. We are the sober students of this high school and each year we take a pledge to not use drugs or alcohol.” Chris was captured by the courage it took to not only stand up and share the symbolism of the purple shirts, but was inspired to make a difference amongst adolescents across the United States.

Jaime Careys 33 points leads Trojans over Durfee
Mark your calendars boys and girls... February 11, 2014....
The Trojans, led by Jaime Carey's season high 33 points (including 15 for 19 from the line), upset the Durfee High Hilltoppers 82-75 in a very exciting battle on Tuesday night.
The Trojans jumped out to an early lead, outscoring the Hilltoppers 13-8 in the 1st and led at the half 39-32 despite a huge 2nd quarter by Durfee's Tyree Robinson, who scored 14 of his game high 37 points in the frame. The 3rd quarter was a foulfest as both teams were in the bonus entering the 4th quarter as the ref's tried to take control of the game. A Tyree Robinson alley oop cut the Trojan lead to 8 but an Alex Rose layup, foul, and made free throw extended the Trojan lead back to 11. In the 4th quarter a Durfee 3 pointer would tie the game at 72 with 2:32 in the game, but Jaime Carey and the Trojans pulled away and held on for the 82-75 win!
Jaime Carey was clutch as he poured in 33 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Alex Rose had 18 points and 8 rebounds, and Joe Freiday had 9 points and 12 rebounds. The Trojans made 33 points from the line and outrebounded Durfee 53-33. The Trojans improve to 7-7 on the season.
The highly anticipated rematch will take place February 11, 2014 at 7:00 at Durfee High.

Alex Rose leads Trojans to victory over Panthers
The Trojans eeked closer to the .500 mark (6-7) and are now only 4 wins away from the elusive 10 win plateua that would allow the Trojans to enter the post season, where they haven't been since 2009, as they traveled to Beverly High to take on the Panthers Sunday afternoon.
The Trojans jumped out to an early lead thanks in part by Jaime Carey's 8 first half points as well as the hustling Nick Demos' 7 first half points, to take a comfortable 15 point lead into the locker room at 37-22. The Panthers said "not so fast" as Beverly's Jon Berchoff poured in 8, of his game high 32 points, to cut the Trojan lead to 7 with 2:04 left in the 3rd. That was the closest the Panthers would get as the Trojans, led by Alex Rose's 10 4th quarter points, finished strong and hung on for a 75-66 Win.
Alex Rose led the way for the Trojans with 21 points , Jaime Carey had 16 points, and Nick Demos hustled in 11 points.
On the good news front, we went from a national rank of 11,591 at the start of the season to 7,034 according to MaxPreps.

Saved by the Bell(s).. Bell brothers take over and lead Trojans to victory
The Trojans jumped back into the win column, improving to 5-7 on the season, as they defeated a young Plymouth North team for the 2nd time this season, 70-64 on Friday night.
The Trojans, trying to snap a 4 game losing streak, came out of the gates firing and jumped out to an early first quarter lead 17-14, thanks to some nifty passing. The Blue Eagles came soaring back in the 2nd, outscoring the sluggish Trojans 16-11 to take a 2 point halftime lead into the locker room. It was more of the same through 3 quarters as Plymouth North Sophomore Austin Ward scored 12 of his game high 25 points in the frame as the Blue Eagles extended their lead to 4 points at the end of 3.
Ding Ding.... Enter the Bell brothers... Trojans Fall to Quincy
The Trojans dropped a heartbreaker to the Quincy Presidents Wednesday night, 69-66, despite the strong play by Alex Rose. In the teams first meeting on December 13 (opening night) the Presidents blew out the Trojans by 19 points. This time around it was a much closer contest.
The Presidents jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter outscoring the Trojans 21-11, led by Junior Captain JT Bain's 8 first quarter points, as this game had the early makings of another blowout.
The Trojans stormed back in the 2nd quarter to cut the deficit to 4 at the half, thanks in part to 3 pointers by Junior Jack Connolly, Sophomore Terrel Williams and Senior Jaime Carey. The Presidents came out to the break firing as Senior Guard Brendan Cunningham poured in 8 of his game high 20 points in the 3rd, and the Presidents had a comfy 8 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. The Trojans fought back in the 4th as Senior Captain Joe Freiday scored 9 of his 11 points in the frame to keep it close, but it wasn't enough as a few failed 3 point attempts by the Trojans in the final seconds fell short, and the Presidents held on for the 69-66 win. Senior Alex Rose led the scoring for the Trojans, pouring in 17 points (off the bench), Jaime Carey had 12 points, Joe Freiday had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Andy Groh had 8 points and 6 rebounds. The 4-6 Trojans will face off against the Barnstable Red Raiders on Friday night at Barnstable High School.

Trojans fall to Panthers...... Again....
The Trojans were out gunned on Monday night 84-70, falling to 4-5 on the season, by the Whitman Hanson Panthers who were led by their Senior Captain Brian Feeney, who scored 21 points, including a perfect 11 for 11 from the line!
The Trojans stumbled a little out of the gate being outscored by the Panthers 19-12 in the first quarter and 23-15 in the second to trail by 15 at the half as the Panthers 3 point shot was spot on as they nailed eight 3 pointers in the half (Senior Guard Shane Devlin had 4 of them) and they also made 8 of 10 from the free throw line. The Trojans came firing back in the 3rd cutting the lead to 9, thanks to key 3 pointers from Sophomore Mike Manning and Senior Captain Rashad Bell. The 4th quarter was not so friendly to the Trojans as the Panthers scored 29 points without making a 2 point field goal, as they made four 3 pointers and 17 free throws!!!
Senior Captain Joe Freiday led the way for the Trojans with 15 points (including the dunk above) and 10 rebounds, Senior Captain Rashad Bell had 12 points, Seniors Alex Rose and Jaime Carey pitched in with 8 points each!
While this was a tough loss, it certainly wasn't due to a lack of effort as the Trojans fought hard throughout the game. Coach Fisher on the loss: "Our kids hung in there tonight and made a game of it until the end. I am proud of the way the kids battled back"
It's an uphill battle all week as the Trojans travel to Quincy for a rematch with the Presidents, then off to Barnstable on Friday.

Dartmouth Downs BR
The Trojans visited the Dartmouth Indians on Friday night with hopes of winning their first league game of the season. Those hopes were dashed as the Indians defeated the Trojans 63-56 with a very strong 2nd half performance and gnat like defense.
The Trojans jumped out to an early lead in the first half and captured a 28-22 half time lead. The indians came storming out of the locker room, outscoring the Trojans by 13 points in the 3rd quarter, to take a 45-38 lead. That lead proved to be too much and the Indians held on for the 63-56 victory.
Senior Captain Joe Freiday led the scoring for the Trojans scoring 13 of his 14 points in the first half, before getting into foul trouble and eventually fouling out with 4:45 left in the game, Senior Jaime Carey scored 12 points and had 5 assists, Senior Captain Rashad Bell had 10 points. The 4-4 Trojans have a busy and challenging week ahead, with 3 more road games against Whitman Hanson, Quincy, and Barnstable.

Trojans Down Blue Eagles.
The Trojans visited the beautiful, and new, Plymouth North HS to face the Blue Eagles on Tuesday night, and came out with a 68-58 win to sport an unfamiliar record.... a winning one! The now 4 and 3 Trojans (that's 4 wins and 3 losses) haven't been on the plus side of a winning record in a long time!
The Blue Eagles jumped out to a first quarter lead outscoring the Trojans 21-18 to take the early lead, but that lead proved to be short lived as the Trojans accumulated most of their points from the bench, as Senior Alex Rose and Junior Nick Demos led all Trojans with 8 first half points each, and the Trojans took a 10 point lead into the locker room 39-29. The Trojans kept the pressure on the Blue Eagles, increasing the lead to 16 points after 3, to take a comfortable lead after 3, 58-42. The Never say die Blue Eagles said "not so fast" as they whittled the lead down to 8 in the 4th, but it was too little too late, and the Trojans hung on for the 68-58 win!
Once again Senior Jaime Carey led all scoring with 17 points and 8 rebounds (including a perfect 6 for 6 from the line). The biggest punch from the Trojans came off the bench as Senior Alex Rose (13 points and 6 rebounds) and Nick Demos (12 points) continued their stellar play! Senior Captain Joe Freiday finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds, and Isiah Bell pitched in with 9 points!

Trojans down O'Bryant 64-49
As the golf saying goes: They don't draw pictures on the scorecard. Fortunately for the Trojans I won't be drawing any pictures of this game!
The Trojans defeated O'Bryant HS 64-49 on Saturday afternoon to improve to 3-3 on the season. The game was a whistlefest from the get go with both teams racking up a combined 39 fouls including 3 technicals!!
The Trojans jumped out to an early 1st quarter lead outscoring the Tigers 16-4 indicating that this game had the makings of a blow out! The Tigers fought back in the 2nd to keep it close outscoring the Trojans but still trailed 25-17 at the half.
